Making Love Out of Nothing at All...
I was very excited about the 22nd feature of Double-O, planned for a show on the first day...being friday cudn't go for the first show at 10:00 AM but booked 2 tickets, for Anju and myself for 8:15 PM show. At office I was in full mood of enjoying BOND, picked her at 7:00 PM from her office and headed towards Ambience. I had planned for dinner before the movie but Gurgaon's traffic came in our way, managed to be at The Mall at 7:50 PM with no time left for dinner. While picking up advance booking tickets, I asked Anju, tried with whole day of work, to go and grab something to eat as there is not much time left and these PVR ppl will not allow us to take outside food. But she waited for me while I stood in the queue to collect the tickets. Finally managed to get the tickets at 5 minutes before the show with no time for dinner. We went for the show and I enjoyed it throughly, great chases, gadgets, suits, scotch and Vesper Martini.
While deciding to go for QoS, I never realized that Anju doesnt liked english flix the way I like, but she never says no to me and I....forget it. Its just one of her ways to show me how much she loves me. I even didn't think that she will be exhausted after whole day's work. When I was telling her to go and grab something to eat while I waitied for tickets to be collected, she didnt go and I was bit annoyed with her but she didn't go because she wanted to go with me....
After reaching home later at the night, while surfing net and listening to Making Love Out of Nothing at All by Air Supply, I realized that although I enjoyed the movie but I missed something very special.
I missed Anju's company, her chearfullness, her excitement for the movie. I missed her love, while she waitied for me to come to grab something to eat. I missed her care while she was arguing with me to have my dinner. She was their with me, physically, in the movie but she was not their emotionally. I know the reason, she was fulfilling my expectation. I now know that she was tired after working in office for whole day but I didn't see all that in my excitement for the Bond....I didnt see her love and care in my irritation of not seeing her enjoy the movie....
PN talked about expectations in one of his blogs recently and today's incident was all about it...I expected her to be with me for the movie and she was there, she might have expected something from me but I cudn't fulfill it. I expected her to take dinner with me as I thought of treating her but she didnt met that one and later she expected me to have dinner alone and I didn't. I dont know, whenever we expect something from someone we love, like parents or love of life we tend to forgot that the other person might be expecting something, not in return but something.....
Seriously these expectations from love ones and fulfilling their expectations is the basis of love and bond which lies between people. Fulfilling these expectations is a way to tell or express that how much we love and care about you...
I always tell people that "Whenever and whatever you expect from other person, always remember that the other person expects if not more than the same from you" and I couldn't follow it today....I am sorry Anju for yesterday. I love you.
